In the "colloquial" sense, all drugs used to treat mental illness are sometimes referred to as "psychotropic drugs". And then, in this approach, psychotropic drugs include drugs used in depression, anxiety or schizophrenia, including escitalopram present in the Mozarin preparation. According to another definition, psychotropic drugs are those that cross the barrier between the blood and the brain, with the ability to exert an outflow on brain tissue. Such an understanding is broader and will also include drugs used in neurology, hypnotics or affecting memory and concentration functions. On the other hand, a narrow definition of psychotropic substances - which is closer to pharmacists - is introduced by an annex to the Act on counteracting drug addiction. It contains medicinal substances that have addictive potential, which may be associated with their abuse. In this sense, Mozarin is not a psychotropic.
