Are headaches normal when taking Zoloft and when should they go away?

Hello, I take the drug Zoloft 6th day , only 1/4 tabl 50 mg (for fear of side effects ) unfortunately since then I have had headaches. I wake up with pain already in the morning and it accompanies me all day. This worries me a lot. Are these pains normal when taking this medication and when should they subside? Or should I stop taking the drug? Thanks

I have the same, I started with half a half of a pill and I have a terrible headache, I have been taking it for almost 2 weeks at 1 am and 1 in the evening and the pain still does not go away, if it does not go away for a few more days I think I will have to change my anxiety, but I am afraid that this pain is caused by thinking, tormenting myself

Headache is a very common (may affect more than 1 in 10 people) side effect of Zoloft. Sometimes side effects are more severe at the beginning of therapy and disappear over time, but not always. This is such an individual matter that it is impossible to answer unequivocally whether and when they will give way to you. A tablet of Zoloft can be divided in half, but it does not have a graduation to allow an equal separation into 4 parts. Your entry shows that you may use the drug differently than your doctor recommended. Your situation should be recognized by the specialist who ordered the preparation. It is possible that you actually feel side effects, but it cannot be completely ruled out that anxiety about side effects and a negative attitude to therapy contribute to their increased reception. I would suggest not to discontinue Zoloft on your own, but - as I mentioned - only after consulting a doctor.
