Does skipping placebo tablets reduce the incidence of midcyclical bleeding?

Can skipping placebo pills help with mid-cycle bleeding? I just finished pack 4 of Drovelis, I suffer from midcyclic bleeding and I read that skipping a placebo could help. I went to the gynecologist who told me to skip the placebo pills, and if the bleeding occurs again, then take a 7-day break (which is total stupidity, because the Drovelis system is 24 + 4) and start a new package. I'm a little lost. Best regards

If you miss the placebo tablets, you may not experience withdrawal bleeding. However, the likelihood of mid-cycle bleeding will not decrease. On the contrary, if you skip placebo tablets, there is a greater chance of bleeding or midcyclic spotting during the use of active tablets. Mid-cycle bleeding most often occurs in the first months of using contraceptive pills. This period is called the so-called adaptation period, in which the body "gets used to" hormonal changes occurring under the influence of hormones used. More about the combined contraceptive pills can be read in the text: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/tabletki-antykoncepcyjne-dwuskladnikowe
