Should I continue to take Orlifique tablets or stop taking them?
Hello, I started using Orlifique contraceptive pills. For the first 4 packs everything was fine, but after 5 packages there was no bleeding. I will add that no tablet was missed and they were all taken at the same time. In addition, I did two pregnancy tests that came out negative. Is it normal, should I continue to take the pills or stop taking them? Of course, I made an appointment with a doctor, but I have an appointment only in 1.5 weeks and for days I should start taking another package.

According to the Orlifique dossier: "If you have taken all the pink tablets with the active substance correctly, have not vomited or had severe diarrhoea and have not taken any other medicines, you are unlikely to be pregnant. If two consecutive withdrawal bleedings do not occur, the patient may be pregnant. In this case, you should immediately contact a doctor. Before starting the next blister, make sure you are not pregnant." In the described situation, if you are sure that the medicine was taken correctly and two pregnancy tests are negative, then you should continue taking the medicine, because you are most likely not pregnant. The absence of withdrawal bleeding can sometimes occur despite the absence of pregnancy and is the result of the effect of hormones on the endometrium (endometrium), which becomes thinner and sometimes there is too little of it for bleeding to occur. I also take orlifique and after 4 packs I had very scanty spotting even only 1 day of spotting. I went to the doctor is apparently normal. I also did the test and it was negative. Apparently, this may seem to be the case, because these tablets have a low composition.
