Can Mozarin cause an increase in intraocular pressure? That's how I read in the leaflet about SSRIs. I have a mid-range pressure of 23 and 24. Will the pressure return to normal after mozarin?

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, including escitalopram, the active ingredient in Mozarin, can dilate the pupils and thus increase pressure in the eyeball, especially in patients with a predisposition to develop glaucoma. If you have or have had eye problems such as certain types of glaucoma (increased pressure inside the eyeball), your doctor should be consulted before starting therapy. The norm of intraocular pressure is between 10 and 21 mmHg. On average, in most people it is about 16 mm Hg. Eye pressure exceeding 24 mm Hg should prompt you to obtain an ophthalmologist's opinion on further management, including confirming or ruling out the role of Mozarin. However, do not stop taking Mozarin on your own - if you need to change or stop taking it, you may need to gradually reduce the dose over several weeks.
