What is the difference between sylvi 20 and 30, because I take 8 months sylvie 20 and my family doctor prescribed 30 and I have already bought them or can it harm me somehow? Because this is a package for 3 months and will I come back to sylvie after these 3 months 20 tablets will work less well?

Sylvie 20 and 30 differ from each other in the content of one of the active substances - ethinyl estradiol. Sylvie 20 contains micrograms of ethinyl estradiol, Sylvie 30 - 30 micrograms. The content of the second active substance - gestodene is the same in both drugs - 75 micrograms. If your doctor has mistakenly prescribed Sylvie 30 instead of 20, you can safely increase your dose. Nevertheless, as with any drug, increasing the dose increases the risk of side effects. Thus, the reaction of the body should be observed. When you switch to a lower dose again after 3 months, the tablets will work properly and protection will be maintained.
