If the pink coating of the Orlifique tablet began to dissolve before swallowing the drug, will the protection be preserved?

If I had a problem with swallowing the orlifique tablet and the pink coating began to dissolve before swallowing, in such a situation the protection is preserved?

For @Ola: No, taking an extra pill does not reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills.

And if in such a situation I took an additional tablet, the protection will be preserved? Won't it reduce effectiveness?

For @Anonim: Most likely, the tablet shell has been dissolved, so even if traces of the drug remain on your fingers, the protection will be preserved and there is no need to take an additional tablet.

My hands sweat from my nerves and sometimes also when taking birth control pills. Today I was left with a delicate white trace of a tablet on my finger. Should I take an extra tablet from the spare pack? Atyvia Daily

Dissolution of the pink coating (e.g. in a situation where there has been contact with water and traces of the envelope have remained on the fingers) just before swallowing the tablet will not affect the contraceptive effectiveness of the drug and protection is preserved. In the case of Orlifique, the shell has two functions. It protects the medicinal substances contained in the core of the tablet from, for example, light, oxygen, moisture and ensures comfort in taking the drug by facilitating swallowing.
