Is spotting and lower abdominal pain caused by yesterday's missing of the pill?

I'm halfway through the second pack of drovelis. Today I realized that yesterday I did not take the pill, even though I am very careful. I used to take it two or three hours later, but I never forgot. Today I took two, including one from yesterday. My stomach ached all day and brown spotting appeared. Is it possible that this is due to the omission of yesterday's tablet? Is the protection preserved?

Yes, abdominal pain and brown spotting are triggered by skipping the Drovelis tablet. If less than 24 hours have elapsed since the scheduled intake of the pill, the effectiveness of contraceptive protection is not reduced. I am attaching a study that may be helpful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje
