Very important.. I switched from birth control pills, which caused me depression, to the hormonal IUD kyleena. (the doctor made sure that in no way does this insert affect my mood, because it is a local hormone) but depression is still and worsens. does the insert really not affect it? On the leaflet it is that depression is one of the side effects. Is it possible to cure depression without relapsing without pulling out the IUD or will I have to pull it out?

Depressive mood or depression is a common side effect of the Kyleen system, which - as you mentioned - informs the manufacturer of the drug. In fact, in practice, the incidence of this side effect in patients is lower in the case of hormonal contraception acting locally, but as you can see - it is always a very individual matter. Of course, it is possible to cure depression without recurrence, but first - in order for this to be possible - the patient should, in consultation with a psychiatrist, know its cause. If you are depressed by hormonal contraception, it will undoubtedly not be possible to cure it effectively as long as you use this type of medication.
