Wskazane jest unikanie popijania leków wodą alkaliczną, gdyż może ona wpływać na ich skuteczność. Jednak jednorazowe wypicie kilku łyków takiej wody na ok. 1 godzinę przed lub 2 godziny po przyjęciu tabletki antykoncepcyjnej nie wpływa na jej skuteczność.
