Are there days when protection does not occur when using birth control pills?

Are there days when protection does not occur when using tablets? I mean, if I have pills (Axia conti) 24 + 4, does the protection against pregnancy last all the time? If I take the tablets correctly for 24 days,then there is a 4 day break and again these next 24 days of the new package is from the first tablet of the new package also protect? Of course, the first tablet is always taken on the appropriate day immediately after the break and in general if I take the tablets according to the recommendations, is the protection continuous without any break and fertilization will not occur?
