Vomiting and diarrhea when using birth control pills - when do they affect their effectiveness?
From 2 days I have gastrical problems. Terrible nausea, vomiting, rare stool. I take Naraya birth control pills, today is 4 days from the beginning of the new blister. Yesterday I took the tablet after 3 pm, about 21 there were vomiting and diarrhea. Then I took the second tablet for safety, about 22. Today I took the tablet before 13, before 16 there were vomiting, in total there were 3 times at intervals of an hour /two. Around 7:30 p.m., I took my second Naraya tablet. I will be doing an injection of metoclopramide today. Can this whole situation affect the effectiveness of tablets despite taking two tablets a day at intervals? Thank you and greet

Rzeczywiście, jeśli w przeciągu 3-4 godzin od przyjęcia tabletki antykoncepcyjnej wystąpiła nasilona biegunka bądź wymioty, należy przyjąć kolejną tabletkę, gdyż wchłanianie pierwszej dawki mogło zostać upośledzone.
Przyjmuje się, że jeśli "dodatkowa" tabletka została przyjęta nie później niż 12 godzin od przyjęcia pierwszej tabletki - tak jak w Pani przypadku - skuteczność antykoncepcji jest zachowana i nie ma konieczności stosowania dodatkowej metody antykoncepcji. Reasumując, opisywane zdarzenia nie powinny wpłynąć na skuteczność ochrony antykoncepcyjnej.
