Since when am I protected against pregnancy after starting to use the reed discs?

If I put on the puck on the first day of menstruation and the next day I coexisted with my unseeded boyfriend but he didn't come to me then I can be calm that the pucks protect me from pregnancy and I can rule out pregnancy? I wanted to point out that this is my first pack of pucks.
