Zgodnie z Charakterystyką Produktu Leczniczego Lamitrin, lek ten wpływa na skuteczność tabletek antykoncepcyjnych, jednak nie osłabia skuteczności, np. wkładek domacicznych.
Nie została poruszona kwestia krążków antykoncepcyjnych, choć analizując zebrane dane z badań klinicznych z udziałem pacjentek stosujących antykoncepcję hormonalną i Lamitrin, lek ten nie powinien wpływać na skuteczność pierścienia.
