Tabletki antykoncepcyjne Vibin powodują zahamowanie wydzielania przez przysadkę folikolostymuliny, która jest odpowiedzialna za uwalnianie komórki jajowej z pęcherzykai hormonu luteinizującego, który stymuluje organizm do wytworzenia jajeczka.

Hamowanie wydzielania tych hormonów skutkuje brakiem owulacji, zmianami w błonie śluzowej macicy, czyli endometrium i transformacji wydzielniczej.

Zmieniają się również właściwości śluzu szyjki macicy. Zapobiega to migracji spermy przez kanał szyjki macicy i zmniejsza ruchliwość plemników, co dodatkowo utrudnia zapłodnienie.
