Why does the contraceptive puck slide me off?

Good morning, I've been using nuvaring for 2 months now and I've noticed that I'm still sliding into the mouth of my vagina (about 1/2cm from the entrance). I put it according to the instructions included in the package, and yet no matter how far I push it always within a dozen minutes it slips again, does it reduce its effectiveness? What could this be caused by? Two weeks after the 2nd disc was put on, I also noticed abundant, liquid, white milk-like mucus leaking out of my vagina. Is it normal with hormonal contraception? Can this reduce the effectiveness of the puck? I have a visit to the gynecologist only in a month.
