Can polycystic ovary syndrome be treated only with birth control pills?

Is it possible to treat polycystic ovaries in a different way than taking birth control pills?

To @Bernadeta:

Spironolactone and metformin do not affect the effectiveness of the contraceptive implant because they do not affect the metabolism of the hormones used in the implants.

On the other hand, the use of contraceptive pills together with a contraceptive implant does not reduce the effectiveness of the implant. The implant works independently of additional contraceptive methods, but it is worth remembering that consulting your doctor before combining different contraceptive methods is recommended to avoid unnecessary interactions or side effects.

To @Anna:

Drugs such as spironolactone, metformin or oral antiandrogenic drugs are often used for hirsutism and insulin resistance. Most of these do not affect the effectiveness of the implant, but drugs that induce liver enzymes, such as some antiepileptic drugs, can reduce its effect. I encourage you to consult a doctor who will choose the right therapy for your case, taking into account the lack of impact on the implant.

Tak, można leczyć zespół policystycznych jajników w inny sposób.

Lekiem najczęściej stosowanym w indukcji jajeczkowania jest cytrynian klomifenu (np. Clostilbegyt).

Aromek).
