Good morning.
Since 25.03 I have been using the antibiotic Augumentin (after wisdom tooth extraction), on 29.03 I started a new cycle with PolaRing discs. I take the last antibiotic tablet tomorrow (1.04.). This morning (31.03.) there was intercourse, but the doctor said that Augumentin does not affect the effectiveness of contraception.
I would like to make sure and draw knowledge from another source on this subject.
I will add that I do not have any intestinal problems while using antibiotics.

Augmentin does not affect the effectiveness of the contraceptive disc. The intercourse was secured properly and there is no reason to worry.
The antibiotic you used contains amoxicillin and clavulanic acid, which may affect the effectiveness of oral contraception, but does not affect the effectiveness of the disc.
The effectiveness of the disc may be affected by other antibiotics, e.g. tetracyclines – however, Augmentin does not contain these substances, so in this case you can rest assured.
