Does a pregnancy test taken 13 days after intercourse show a reliable result?

If I performed the test 13 days after intercourse, which took place on day 9 of the cycle, with 23-day cycles, can I consider it reliable and that fertilization did not occur?

It is best to take a pregnancy test on the day of your expected period, although there are tests available on the market that detect previous pregnancy (you should pay attention to the sensitivity of the test - such information should be included on the packaging). The test is best done from a sample of morning urine - then the result is most reliable. If menstruation does not occur on the expected date, the test should be repeated. Interrupted intercourse should not be treated as a method of preventing unwanted pregnancy due to its very low contraceptive efficacy.
