The decision to discontinue the treatment and discontinue the drug should be consulted with the doctor. Exista is a drug that requires a gradual reduction in dose. Abrupt discontinuation of the preparation may cause withdrawal symptoms and worsening of well-being.

"Withdrawal symptoms were observed after discontinuation of short-term and long-term pregabalin therapy. The following symptoms have been reported: insomnia, headache, nausea, anxiety, diarrhea, flu-like symptoms, nervousness, depression, suicidal thoughts, pain, seizures, excessive sweating, and dizziness.

The onset of withdrawal symptoms after stopping pregabalin treatment may indicate drug dependence. The patient should be informed of this at the beginning of treatment. If pregabalin treatment needs to be discontinued, it is recommended to gradually discontinue pregabalin for at least 1 week, regardless of indication."
