Hello, I'm in the process of replacing Parogen with Velaxin. I have been reducing Parogen gradually, currently I take 3 tablets of Velaxin 37.5mg (I have been taking the drug only for 3 weeks, I increased the dose every week) but also Parogen 10mg. I should have reduced parogen to 5mg a few days ago, but I find it quite difficult to tolerate the change of medication and I postpone it very much. Can I stay on this dose of Parogen for a few more days or is it necessary for me to get off it already?

In such a situation, it is usually safer to extend the transition period by a few days than to rapidly reduce the dose of Parogen in the event of severe withdrawal symptoms.
Parogen (paroxetine) often causes difficulty in dose reduction, so gradual descent — even slower than planned — is common practice. However, it is important not to make changes on your own for a long time and to inform your doctor about your symptoms. If you experience severe dizziness, anxiety, nausea, sleep disturbances, or worrying mental symptoms, contact your doctor beforehand.
