Good morning. Yesterday evening around 9 p.m. I took a contraceptive pill ( naraya plus ) today from 8 a.m. I vomited a dozen times. Is contraception still preserved? Thank you in advance for your answer.

Vomiting occurred 11 hours after taking the contraceptive pill. By this time, the drug had already been absorbed. The effectiveness of the Naraya tablet is maintained.
I attach the information contained in the summary of product characteristics:
"In the case of severe gastrointestinal disorders (e.g. vomiting, diarrhoea), absorption may not be complete and additional contraceptive methods should be used. If vomiting occurs within 3 to 4 hours of taking the active substance tablet, take another (additional) active substance tablet as soon as possible. If possible, the additional tablet should be taken within 12 hours of the usual time of use."
During persistent vomiting and diarrhea, electrolytes (e.g., Gastrolit, Acidolit, Orsalit) should be supplemented to avoid dehydration. On our website you can check the availability of preparations and place an order with collection at a pharmacy or home delivery:
