What to do to prevent pregnancy if I missed a pill Vibin?
12.99 zł

Is there a risk of pregnancy if I skipped a vibin pill in the first week and had intercourse 3 days later?
Hello, I skipped 2 pills and then immediately took the forgotten pill and from the day. After the end of the active pills, I immediately took a new leaf, and then 3 days later I had unprotected intercourse, which I could do in this situation to prevent pregnancy.

If you miss a tablet during the first week of use, take the forgotten tablet immediately, even if this would mean taking two tablets at the same time. Then, for seven days, an additional, mechanical form of contraception (condom) should be used. The risk of becoming pregnant increases with the number of pills not taken and if intercourse has occurred in the 7 days preceding day.

If you skipped the tablets at the beginning of the first blister (in the first week), then finished taking the active tablets and started a new blister, and during this time you did not have intercourse (from the information in the second part of the question, I conclude that intercourse took place after the start of the tablets from the new blister), there is no risk of becoming pregnant.

However, if you have had unprotected intercourse three days after you missed the first week's pill (which is clear from the first part of the question), there is a risk that you may become pregnant. If no more than 120 hours have elapsed since intercourse, it is possible to use emergency contraception, but its effectiveness decreases with the time from which unprotected intercourse occurred. If more than 120 hours have passed since intercourse, emergency contraception will most likely no longer be effective.
Please note that skipping the contraceptive pill and not using additional forms of contraception does not necessarily mean that you will become pregnant.

If there is a chance that you are pregnant, you should stop taking birth control pills and contact your gynaecologist.
