Hi. I use the contraceptive implant Implanon Nxt. Can I take Pancreatinum, Kreon? Can these drugs negatively affect the effectiveness of the contraceptive implant?
The leaflet mentions the reduction in the effectiveness of the drug when taking inducers of microsomal liver enzymes and enzyme inhibitors. I don't understand if this applies to my medications (Pancreatinum, Creon), because they are also enzymes. I will be grateful for an answer.

Pancreatinum and Kreon are digestive enzymes that act in the gastrointestinal tract and do not affect the effectiveness of the Implanon NXT contraceptive implant. The leaflet refers to drugs that accelerate the metabolism of hormones in the liver (e.g. some drugs for epilepsy or tuberculosis), not pancreatic enzymes. You can use them without worrying about the effectiveness of contraception.
