If you are still in the first week of taking the tablets, you can take the missed tablet today. This means taking two tablets in one day.
If you have not had intercourse during the 7 days preceding the missed pill, there is no need to worry. You should continue to take the pills at the same time, and for 7 days after the mistake, use additional contraception in the form of a condom as a preventive measure.
After 7 days of regular use of the tablets, the protection will be restored.
This is due to the mechanism of action of this drug: "Adequate inhibition of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis occurs after 7 days of continuous tablet inhibition." Therefore, it is recommended to use a condom prophylactically for 7 days after missing a pill.
