According to the characteristics of Depakine Chrono, its use is contraindicated, m.in. in the following cases:
- hypersensitivity to sodium valproate or any of the excipients in the medicine,
- acute and chronic hepatitis,
- pregnant, unless there is no suitable alternative treatment,
- in women of childbearing age, unless the conditions of a pregnancy prevention program are met, i.e. the use of hormonal contraception.

Contraindications to the use of Vibin Mini include, m.in,
- the presence or risk of venous thromboembolism,
- the occurrence or risk of arterial thromboembolic disorders,
- current or history of severe liver disease, unless liver function parameters
returned to normal values,
- severe or acute renal failure,
- suspected presence or presence of hormone-dependent malignancies genital disorders (e.g. genital or breast cancers),
- vaginal bleeding of unknown etiology,
- hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients of the medicine.
