Any hormonal contraception at the beginning of use can cause cycle disorders such as prolonged/irregular bleeding or mid-cycle spotting. Usually, the situation improves spontaneously within 3 months. If the observed ailments intensify, it is worth making an appointment for a check-up with a gynaecologist or discussing a change in treatment. If the health problem is only to stop/reduce bleeding without contraception, your doctor may consider another treatment.
