Is there a risk of pregnancy if I take contraception Vibin mini, and a week ago I used Augmentin?
24.99 zł

Good morning
She is taking the birth control pill vibin mini. On 25.04 I had a tooth extracted, I was given 3 doses of the antibiotic Augumentin. On 26.04 in the morning I took my last dose. For this, a topical antibiotic was used. Yesterday, 3.05 in the evening, I had sex with my partner, without any additional protection. Is there a risk of pregnancy in this situation? Has contraceptive protection already been maintained?

As a general rule, when using an antibiotic while taking contraception, you should take extra protection throughout the course of antibiotic treatment and 7 days after its completion. If you took your last dose on 26.04, you have been using Vibin every day since then without skipping at the same time - the risk of a possible pregnancy by intercourse on 03.05 is low, as exactly one week has passed since the date of the last dose of antibiotics. For the future, please remember to use an additional method of contraception during antibiotic therapy.
