Can chest pain mean a pre-infarction?
9.99 zł

Hello, I've been experiencing chest pains for about a month now. Today the pain lasted for about 30-40 minutes and I also felt pain between my shoulder blades. A week ago I did a blood test, everything was normal. I'm waiting for the X-ray result, which will be in a few days. Could these be pre-heart attack symptoms?I'm very afraid that I have a heart disease

Chest pain doesn't have to mean serious health conditions. Accompanying symptoms that should not be ignored are shortness of breath, very severe pain (difficult to bear), high fever/loss of consciousness. The above conditions are an indication for immediate medical intervention (risk of e.g. myocardial infarction or pulmonary embolism).

Much more often, chest pain is a consequence of other situations, such as:

- physical exertion (muscle pain, neuralgia)

-heartburn

- increased stress

- injuries (e.g. ribs)

- stomach irritation/inflammation

It is worth performing blood tests to rule out cardiac ailments. If the pain is accompanied by stress, you can use Validol, which has a tonic effect:

If the symptoms recur, it is worth performing extended diagnostics, assessing, m.in, the gastrointestinal tract.

And what other symptoms have appeared?

Eugen (Anonymous, 217.146.133.) 20 days ago

Hello! I had similar symptoms. For more than a year, my doctor (therapist) couldn't find anything, an ECG blood test, everything was normal. Then they did an ECG under load, something was noticed there. Sent me for a stented heart check-up. It turned out to be a blockage in the coronary artery. I underwent bypass surgery.

Just for a few days now, there has been an empty belching and a kind of heartburn. For the past two days, the chest pains have subsided, but sometimes it hurts between the shoulder blades and makes me feel a little dizzy

I can tell you by my own example
Well, it is not a pre-infarction state In my case, after such chest pains, taking the results and ECG-the doctor found a hernia of esophageal rosocor + reflux and after treatment, the pain did not appear anymore but I have been taking the drug for over 5 years hmm

On the basis of all this information, it is difficult to determine the risk of a heart attack. More research is needed. It's a good idea to ask your GP for advice.

But I'm not asking for a diagnosis, I'm just asking if it's possible, I'm very afraid that it could be a heart attack, and before I visit the doctor, I would like to be calmer

To @Czarna:
A pharmacist is not authorized to diagnose diseases, so this question must be answered by a doctor.

And can my symptoms persisting for so long mean a pre-infarction state? This has been going on for a month now. Sometimes there is a day when I feel good, normal, and suddenly this pain appears, then it goes away and everything is fine again.

To @Czarna:

You may want to consult your family doctor. It is possible to perform an ECG at the primary care centre.

The family doctor ordered only a blood test, glucose, potassium and TSH and a chest X-ray, immediately ruling out heart disease. Which surprised me, because an ECG should also be ordered. Blood tests were normal

To @Czarna:

A chest X-ray is not a test to determine heart disease.
It is worth consulting your family doctor, you may need an ECG or Echocardiography. The basic blood count also does not inform about possible problems with the heart or circulation. Tests may be necessary, e.g. electrolyte level, lipidogram, homocysteine, d-dimers, hs - Troponin I, glucose, magnesium.

And will there be any heart-related abnormalities on the X-ray? I try to rest and not stress, but the pain keeps coming back for unknown reasons. Would the blood test I did show any circulatory and heart problems?
