Hello, will a one-time emergency intake of stomach drops containing St. John's wort extract, 1 week and 2 weeks before taking Escapelle tablet, affect its effectiveness?

To @Gosia:
Two tablets of Rutinoscorbin in the morning and one tablet of Scorbolamide in the evening do not affect the effectiveness of hormonal contraception (EVRA patches).
The combination of salicylamide contained in Scorbolamide with ibuprofen is not recommended as it may increase the risk of gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding, however, a single combined intake does not pose a health risk. This does not affect the effectiveness of contraception.
Could you give me any more information about taking Rutinoscorbin and Scorbolamide?
Do two tablets of rutinoscrobin in the morning and one of scorbolamide in the evening reduce contraception? Can these drugs be used together? I also took ibuprom in the evening with scorbolamide, unfortunately after the fact I remembered that I shouldn't take ibuprom with scorbolamide because it also contains antipyretic ingredients, but because of menstruation I also took ibuprom. If I take these medications for a few days, will there be no interactions and a decrease in contraception? (EVRA)

Yes, exactly - it does not affect.
I understand, thank you! So even if I use gastric drops from time to time, when I use evra, it doesn't affect anything? I understand that pills are a different matter because they go to the stomach

Dear Madam,
1) the concentration of St. John's wort in gastric drops is so low that taking drops in the amount of a few to a dozen or so once in a while does not reduce the effectiveness of contraception.
2) we are talking about oral contraception, not patches stuck on the arm.
3) if you keep the appropriate time interval between the drops and the contraceptive pill - nothing bad can happen. You are protected from pregnancy.
4) You wrote that you used peppermint drops - and they do not weaken contraception.
To sum up, you are protected from getting pregnant.
And stomach drops contain St. John's wort and it weakens contraception? Is it contraception in the form of pills and not patches? I use peppermint drops a lot and I was afraid that they weakened Evre

No, none of the drops reduce the effectiveness of contraception.
So neither stomach drops nor peppermint drops reduce the effectiveness of contraception?

Peppermint drops and stomach drops are not the same. Peppermint drops are a medicinal product used for mild digestive ailments. They contain only peppermint tincture. Gastric drops, on the other hand, contain much more natural extracts, m.in valerian or St. John's wort extract. None of the drops adversely affect the effectiveness of Evra contraception.
And are peppermint and stomach drops the same? Do peppermint drops impair evra contraception? I know that stomach ones contain St. John's wort, mint as far as I know only mint and ethanol

No, taking stomach drops one or two weeks before Escapelle will not adversely affect the effectiveness of Escapelle - there is no need to worry. If the drug has been taken correctly (no later than 72 hours after intercourse) - the effectiveness will be preserved.
Stomach drops can be purchased in an online pharmacy:
In cities such as Warsaw, Wrocław, Łódź or Białystok, products can be ordered with instant delivery even in 1 hour thanks to the Wolt Drive service - check if the service is available in your location:
