Taking into account the physical exertion of a deep-sea fisherman, I encourage you to immediately contact your doctor, who is familiar with your health condition in detail.

Yes, according to the Summary of Product Characteristics, transient visual disturbances (scotoma, diplopia) have been observed in isolated cases with Doxycyclinum. This is a symptom of an increase in intracranial pressure - this is a very rare side effect of the drug.
If you notice any changes in your vision while taking this antibiotic, tell your doctor immediately. Reporting side effects allows you to increase control over the medicines available on the market. We wrote more about how and why to report side effects in the article:
