Is it normal that I can't have an orgasm during sexual activity and will this continue throughout my Escitalopram therapy?
Good evening, I've been taking escitalopram for 3 weeks now for general and anxiety disorders and for OCD
I wanted to ask if it is normal not to be able to have an orgasm during sexual activity and if this will last throughout the therapy
I take 15 drops a day or one and a half pills

Such sexual problems, such as difficulty reaching orgasm, can occur as a side effect with the use of certain antidepressants, including Escitalopram. For many people, these sexual function issues may subside after some time or when the dosage is adjusted, but for some, these side effects may be more permanent. It's hard to judge from such a short description.
If orgasm problems are important to you and have a negative impact on your well-being, I encourage you to talk to your doctor about it. Your doctor will be able to assess whether you need to adjust your dose, change your medication or take other measures to minimise the impact on your sexual function.
