Hello, I had intercourse during my period, on the 4th day of my cycle on the night of 3/4 February and I took Ellaone on the 6th day of my cycle (Monday 5 February) at noon (36 hours after intercourse), so theoretically ovulation is far away. Is there a chance I could be pregnant?

To @Gosia:
The reported results depend on the established limit of quantification for a given laboratory test methodology. The limit of quantification is the lowest concentration of an analyte (in this case, the beta-hCG hormone) that allows for a quantitative determination in a given analytical procedure.
Hello, I'm bothered by a question that I can't find an answer to anywhere. Why does the laboratory give the result of beta HCG, e.g. <2,30 mlu/ml , <1,20 mlu/ml lub <0,20 mlu/ml a nie wynik dokładny? Czy to jest tak trudne do oznaczania?
Osobiście wykonywałam badanie dwukrotnie, w odstępie 3 tygodniowym i wynik jest identyczny, tj. <2,30 mlu/ml.

Yes, the result means no pregnancy.
Thank you very much for the information. My intrusive thoughts about the fact that fertilization had occurred referred me for a betahcg test.
Result <2,30 mlu/ml po +/- 28 dniach od owulacji i 14 dni po okresie (który wystąpił), co wyklucza ciążę całkowicie???

To @Gosia:
The results are reliable and you are not pregnant. We wrote more about pregnancy tests in the article:

Due to the fact that the use of emergency contraception should not be regular contraception, I encourage you to consult your doctor in order to choose the right method of contraception for you. You can take advantage of a teleconsultation, e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:

I encourage you to read our articles about contraceptive methods:
I would like to add that I have not had another intercourse since taking Ellaone until today. The last one was on the 4th day of the previous cycle.
Hello, since I think I'm getting paranoid by now, I decided to ask. Can 9 different pregnancy tests (from urine and one from blood from the pharmacy), taken at different times of the day, give an unreliable result? I would like to add that my period occurred on February 28 this year. I did the last test this morning, i.e. 5.03 this year, which is +/- 21 days from ovulation and 31 days from intercourse. 36 hours after intercourse I took Ellaone. All tests were negative.

To @Gosia:
The rate of pregnancies despite the use of emergency contraception is approximately 2% (2 out of 100 women will become pregnant). However, it should be taken into account that the possibility of pregnancy is influenced by: the time that has passed since intercourse to taking the pill, the phase of the woman's cycle in which the emergency situation occurred, subsequent unprotected sexual intercourse in a given cycle.
In your case, intercourse took place during menstruation, i.e. it was not the period of ovulation, pregnancy was not possible.
And could conception have occurred during this time between intercourse and taking the pill?
