Yesterday at 8 p.m. I took the contraceptive pill from the 1st row of the blister and at 9 p.m. I went to the bathroom and passed loose stool. I don't know if I should define diarrhea as going to the bathroom 3 or more and passing loose stool or as one going to the bathroom and passing 3 or more loose stools. Therefore, I don't know if the effect of the pills is reduced. How do I understand the concept of diarrhea and what should I do?

So diarrhea is 3 or more trips to the bathroom?

Passing loose stool once is not diarrhoea and does not affect the effectiveness of the tablets. Diarrhea is defined as passing liquid or semi-liquid stool at least 3 times. If this happens within 4 hours of taking the tablet, then you will need to take an additional tablet. Otherwise, it is not necessary.
