Good morning
I'm going to have a nasal septum surgery, before the surgery I'm going to have a period that is hard for me and I'm not able to go through my period without painkillers. Can I take nimesil before this surgery? What other medication can I take to reduce pain so that I can function at work before surgery? (My period will end the day before the surgery.) During the consultation, I did not get any answer to this question.

There are no contraindications to taking medications with paracetamol or ibuprofen or, if necessary, with nimesulide, the day before septal surgery. These drugs have a relatively short half-life and are quickly removed from the body, so there is no risk of interaction with drugs administered a day later, e.g. during surgery.
