When can I switch from Ginoring to Zoely?
24.99 zł

If I take out the contraceptive ring (ginoring) after a week of use with the intention of switching to zoely, when will I be able to take my first pill? I have a problem with recurrent infections that are probably caused by the use of the disc and I don't want to wait 3 weeks for them to change. I don't mind a temporary break in protection against pregnancy, but I don't know if in this case I should wait until my period returns to take the first pill or if I can do it earlier.

You can remove the disc now (in the middle of the cycle) and switch straight to tablets (take the first tablet from the Zoely blister pack on the day you remove the disc).
According to the manufacturer: 'In the case of women using a vaginal ring or patch, the transdermal should start taking Zoely on the day the ring or patch is removed, but no later than the date on which another ring or patch would be required."

As a preventive measure, it is worth using an additional form of contraception, in the form of a condom, for the first 7 days of using Zoely.

You may experience spotting or mid-cycle bleeding while taking Zoely. In this case, you should continue to take the tablets despite bleeding. The situation should adjust in subsequent cycles.

You can check the availability of Zoely in pharmacies and make a reservation here:
