Does a single loose stool about 3 hours after the contraceptive pill impair the effectiveness of contraception?
I took a vibin mini tablet at 5 p.m. (9 active from the blister) and around 8 p.m. my stomach hurt (indigestion) and I had a single loose stool. Is the effectiveness of contraception maintained in this case?
Greetings and thank you for your reply.

In this case, there is no risk of reducing the effectiveness of contraception. Protection is maintained.
A bowel movement, even a loose one after taking the tablet, does not affect its effectiveness.
Only if vomiting or diarrhoea occurs within 3-4 hours of taking the tablet (at least 3 loose stools accompanied by abdominal pain) - then there is a risk of weakening the effectiveness of the drug.
In your case, there was no such danger.
Take the tablets as usual.
