Can Yaz be used as emergency contraception?

Good morning

should I start taking Yaz for long cycle and abundant flow at the next scheduled cycle around 25.12.2023
IF I started taking it off my period (since my last period ended, I have bleeding after every intercourse), would the pill also work as an emergency contraceptive in case of possible risky sex? Thank you very much

Yaz should not be used as emergency contraception.
The drug is effective in preventing unwanted pregnancy only when used regularly. The first tablet should be taken on the first day of bleeding, then protection will be maintained from the first day of taking the tablets.
