Hello I suspect angioedema. My doctor prescribed me Metypred with cetirizine. Should only take it if I have the symptoms again. But every time I skip the pills, the edema comes back the next day. Now my question is, are there any after-effects for me if I take the tablets for such a long time? And maybe there is another drug?

It is recommended that treatment with steroids, e.g. Metypred, should not last longer than 12 weeks. It may be necessary to carry out more extensive diagnostics and eliminate the factor that causes the swelling.
