If I have to use an antibiotic every 12 hours on a child, and today I gave him the medicine 2 hours too late, can I give the child an antibiotic in the evening at the same time as yesterday?

Good morning, I have a question today I have the 5th day of administering the antibiotic amoxilav to a child of 2.5 years. We followed the recommendations every 12 hours. We were supposed to drink the syrup at 9.30 today but we forgot and gave it at 11.30. Can I give the next dose at 9.30 pm as it was before?

Yes, you can give an antibiotic at 9:30 p.m. as you did before. The 12-hour interval is a contractual interval, the idea is to maintain more or less equal time intervals between doses and to maintain the therapeutic concentration of the drug in the blood at an equal level. Tomorrow, please return to antibiotic use at 9:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.
