All non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), salicylates and paracetamol can affect hearing and labyrinth, causing tinnitus (auditory ototoxicity) and dizziness (vestibular ototoxicity). Tinnitus was reported least frequently (with a very rare frequency, i.e. less than 1 in 10,000 people) with diclofenac and dexketoprofen.
According to currently available knowledge, ototoxic symptoms during the use of salicylates and NSAIDs appear mainly at high doses of drugs and take the form of transient bilateral, symmetrical hearing loss and tinnitus. The risk of ototoxicity is increased by regular use of analgesics.
In the case of hearing disorders, it is worth consulting a specialist in this field (laryngology) about the safest preparation for the patient.
