Hello. I've been using Evra patches for 2 years. Yesterday 11.11 I put on the 3rd patch and today I got brown spotting. I'd like to add that a week ago I lost my voice, but I didn't take any special medication, just a throat spray. Overall, nothing is wrong with me. I don't have stomach or ovarian pain. So where does this spotting come from?

To @Lily40:
During the 7-day break, you should, as usual, experience withdrawal bleeding. Regardless of whether it persists, apply another patch according to the diagram.
Thank you for your reply. The spotting turned into lighter bleeding. Tomorrow I should peel off the patch, which of course I will, but I don't know what to do if the bleeding gets worse? Should I get another patch next week?

Spotting is a common side effect of hormonal contraception, which can occur not only at the beginning of use, but also after a long time, e.g. as a result of illness or excessive stress. Usually, this is not a cause for concern. If the patches have been used as directed, contraceptive protection is maintained.
If spotting persists, it is worth visiting a gynecologist to rule out non-hormonal causes.
