Are there any over-the-counter medications that will provide relief without severely irritating the stomach?

My husband has a bothersome herniated disc. From the doctor he got a set: Olfen, sirdalud and
Ipp 20 mg.

Everything works for the spine, but the side effects from the digestive system were so bothersome that he stopped the treatment.

After the initial improvement, the pain returned, a visit to the doctor in two weeks without the possibility of speeding up. Are there any over-the-counter medications that will provide at least some relief without such a strong stomach irritation?

In the case of herniated discs, effective treatment is aimed at reducing pain, reducing inflammation and minimizing discomfort associated with spinal discomfort.

If the medications prescribed by your doctor cause too many side effects on your digestive system, then you should ask your doctor again to change your therapy. If my husband is unable to get to his doctor, I am attaching a link to the online teleconsultation, offered, m.in, by the Gdziepolek.pl portal:

There are also some over-the-counter medications that can help relieve back pain. Here are some options you can consider:

1) Analgesic ointments or gels that can be applied directly to the area of back pain to relieve discomfort.
Voltaren Max: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/83797/voltaren-max-zel/apteki

Traumon gel: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/79788/traumon-zel/apteki

2) Over-the-counter non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that have analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. However, keep in mind that they can also irritate the stomach, so it is recommended to take them with food. Ketonal: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/95669/ketonal-active-kapsulki/apteki

Pyralgina: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/65496/pyralgina-tabletki/apteki

3) Urgo tens - the device uses a properly selected intensity of electric current sent through electrodes placed on the skin, thanks to which it limits the transmission of pain stimuli to the brain and spinal cord, which affects the rapid reduction or elimination of muscle and joint pain. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/114822/urgo-tens-elektrostymulator-do-ladowania-inne/apteki
