Good morning.
She has been taking pregabalin sandoz capsules for anxiety disorders at a dose of 50 mg for 2 years.
Now the doctor has prescribed me preato at a dose of 100mg and told me to divide it in half due to the shortage of pregabalin in pharmacies. However, I am concerned because the first drug is in capsules and the second in tablets. Won't this affect the absorption of the drug and eventually the effect of the drug?

It is safe and effective to make a change from 1 capsule of Pregabalin Sandoz 50 to half a tablet of Preato 100 mg.
Preato 100 mg comes in tablet form that can be divided into equal doses. Immediate-release formulations, such as tablets and capsules, are considered equivalent and the change within the form does not affect the final efficacy of the drug.
Preato should be used exactly as your doctor has told you. I am attaching a link that allows you to check the availability of the drug and make a reservation at the pharmacy of your choice:
