Good morning, is there a chance of getting pregnant if intercourse was on the 3rd day of menstruation? I've owned the spiral for a year of time plus there was an extra protection. The spotting after intercourse is gone. I've been stressing for a few days, there are brown discharges with blood when wiping and the bottom hurts strangely.

Analysing your description, I don't see any possibility of getting pregnant. The IUD has a very high success rate, there is no need to use an additional method of contraception. Pain and spotting are common side effects of the coil (especially the copper insert can cause such side effects). If the situation persists, it is worth consulting a gynaecologist.
