Dorminox should not be used while breastfeeding.
Physicochemical data suggest the penetration of doxylamine into the milk of breastfeeding women. Since newborns may be more sensitive to the effects of antihistamines and more susceptible to paradoxical reactions such as irritability and excitability, a risk to the baby during breastfeeding cannot be excluded. Doxylamine is therefore contraindicated during breastfeeding.
During lactation, you can drink an infusion, e.g. from lemon balm. If it is necessary to use stronger means - available by prescription, you should consult a doctor.
