Liraglutide (the active ingredient in Saxenda) may affect the metabolism of the contraceptive pill ingredients, but this effect has not been shown to be clinically relevant. Therefore, the effectiveness of the contraceptive protection of Jeanine pills should not be altered despite the concomitant use of Saxenda.
