Is protection maintained if vomiting occurred 19 hours after taking the tablet?
19.99 zł

Good morning. I take Atywie Daily. Yesterday I took at 12:00 7 tablet from the bilister. At 7:30 the next day, which is Sunday today, I vomited once. My stomach still hurts. Is contraception preserved or do I need to use additional contraceptives?

To @Karo: Yes, the tablet has been absorbed and protection is preserved. Absorption of the tablet lasts up to approx. 4 hours, therefore vomiting that occurred 19 hours after taking the tablet does not affect the effectiveness of therapy.

So I understand that the previous tablet has been absorbed and protection is provided all the time?

Since the tablet has long been absorbed, the protection is maintained and there is no need for an additional form of contraception. Even if you have a stomach ache and you take another tablet at 12 o'clock today, protection will also be provided. Unless vomiting occurs again within 4 hours of taking the tablet, then an additional tablet should be taken.
