At the next menstruation I have to start taking birth control pills to regulate the cycles. However, I am worried that the first withdrawal bleeding will be longer than 7 days, and the doctor on the 8th day told me to start the next pack. If the bleeding does not stop spontaneously, should I take another tablet from the new package normally or should I wait until it ends?

Birth control pills are taken regardless of the duration of withdrawal bleeding - the interval between successive packages can not be longer than 7 days. Withdrawal bleeding usually occurs 2-3 days after taking the last tablet from the blister and lasts about 5 days. It may take longer, but this is not a cause for concern and you should start the next pack of medicine normally.
