Is painful withdrawal bleeding possible with Rigividon?

Is painful withdrawal bleeding possible with Rigividon? Before taking contraception, menstruation was also very painful, now I take Rigevidon and the first day of bleeding is painful- in general, you can do without a pill, but several times a day there is a very strong contraction. Is this a cause for concern?

Up to @Milena: Dysmenorrhea is a common side effect of Rigevidon (may affect up to 1 in 10 people). It is worth reporting it to the doctor. Reporting side effects allows you to gather more information about the safety of medicines and update data about them, which can help other patients in the future. We wrote about how to report them here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane Side effects of drugs can also be reported individually: https://www.urpl.gov.pl/pl/produkty-lecznicze/monitorowanie-bezpieczeństwa-leków/zg elk-side-effect-0

I take the drug for half a year and the bleeding has always been like that, everything seemed to be okay at the doctor's examinations. On the leaflet of the drug there is a mention of more painful menstruation as an adverse reaction, can this drug be the cause? Best regards

Painful withdrawal bleeding may occur in some women even with the use of oral contraceptives such as Rigevidone. If your periods before you started taking Rigevidon were also very painful, chances are that some of the pain symptoms may still be present. Especially if you have just started using the pills, the described symptoms may be related to the transition of the hormonal axis to the contraceptive pill and are typical side effects occurring in the first month of use (possibly less severe also in the second cycle on tablets). They should spontaneously disappear with the next package. If complaints of similar or greater severity persist in the next cycle, please contact your gynecologist. If it is not possible to visit a stationary visit, I encourage you to use teleadvice via, for example, the portal Gdziepolek.pl: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-ginekologiem
